I'm addicted to Instagram! For all of my fans who do not know what instagram is, it's an app for iPhone users(only). Since I had learned about instagram a year or so ago, I've always dreamed of having an account. Finally around Christmas time, my magnificent husband allowed me to upgrade to an iPhone4s(which is probably the coolest phone ever...just FYI). I instantly downloaded the instagram app, and uploaded away!! :) I thought I'd show some of my favorite instagoodies for those of you who don't follow me or don't have an iPhone.

Lucas' Debut

In August, I got to be there to welcome to the world my dear friend's new baby boy! It was my first birth documentary, and I wasn't prepared for how emotional I would be! I was overwhelmed with joy as soon as I heard his first little cry. :') I know his mommy and daddy were, too! Babies are a beautiful thing, and they don't get much cuter than Lucas Carter Ray Miles! :)

Update: Lucas is now a happy, healthy, and handsome 5 1/2 month old! :)

Playing catch up!

Wow. I can't believe it's been half a year since I last posted on my blog!! I have no excuse for my slacking.

The past six months were filled with great memories and an abundance of work! I'm truly blessed for the amount of people who come to me for photography. I'm also blessed for the people who are in my life that support me on this journey! :) So let's get started showing off some of my favorite shoots from the past 6 months!

First up: a wedding.

Kayleigh and Josh's wedding was pure vintage! The place was filled with antiques from the
family, furniture from a grandmother's house, and even a 1920's dress. What a joy it was to
photograph this beautiful day!!! :) Congrats you two, and now they are expecting a baby!! :)

Coolest Kids Ever

Last week my wonderful mom and two sweet nephews came up to Montana for a visit! We had such a good time, and boy, was I tired every night! ;) We did more in those 5 days than I have done all summer!! The boys lead us on a hike up to Pine Creek Falls. We took a dip in Chico Hot Springs. Drew and I entertained the three of them on a 2 hour float down the Yellowstone River. Mom and I raced 4 wheelers. The boys and I swam in our creek! We visited 2 museums! Dinners with friends, and we even had a run in with long time friend, Jeff Bridges!!! Okay, so I fibbed a little on that last part, but we did REALLY see him. My mom even had a photo with him! All in all, it was a week to remember. I just wish they lived closer so I could see them all the time. :)

On the last night they were here, the boys let me dress them up and go on a photographing adventure! They sure were good for me. Sweet boys!! :)

Sam the Man

When I was in Texas I got to visit with one of my best friend's, Jana, and her husband, Milan, and their sweet baby boy, Sammy! The last time I saw them was in December 2009. The day Sam was born to be exact! Such a sweet little American-Slovak baby. :) I can't believe how much he has grown in just over a year! While I was there we took a stroll, got to see firetrucks, played in the water, and even ate some snacks together! hehe I enjoy seeing my friends so much, and miss them A TON! Them having babies doesn't help either! Thanks for the fun-filled day, Pejo!!! (Which is what Jana and Milan call Sam. It "roughly" translates to "little horsey.") lol I love it!

I'm so behind in my blog updates! :/

In April, I went to Texas to photograph a special wedding! One of my best friends, K.Bev, got married to a wonderful guy in a beautiful, small town, Texas church! How could it get any better than that?? How about true love, great friends, BBQ, and Lookin' Back Texas playing at the reception!! It was a wedding to remember!! :) I definitely had a wonderful time, and had a blast catching up with old friends and meeting new ones!!! Congrats Kimbo!!! I love you!

PS- Kim just recently found out that her and Jason are expecting their first beeeeb!!! :D Kim, I can't wait to see you again in April to photograph him/her :) hehe! Congrats, again!

4th of July for Two

This 4th of July, Drew and I got to spend some much needed quality time alone. :) I just love when we hang out together. He is definitely my best friend, and I couldn't have chosen a better way to spend my weekend! Thanks Drew for the great holiday get away! :)

Trek to Nowhere

[I hate blogs. Have I ever said that? I mean, I don't hate the fact that you can see my work and I can share bits and pieces of my life with y'all. But....I cannot write to save my life. Here even, just now, I sat here and started this blog about 5 different ways and quickly went "click, click, click.....clickity clicccccck" with the backspace button! The words just don't flow as well as I'd want them too.]

I'm trying to tell you all that last week was full of some boring days. Here let's try one more time:

The dogs and I tried trekking to the river to snap some shots of how high it is, but we didn't make it. I was too tired of squeezing myself through what seemed at the time, TINY spaces between barbed wire fences, and the babies were panting like mad dogs from the sunshine and fetching. I did however, snap some shots of the various things we passed on our way there(and back).

I am very lucky to live where I do. We just can't get enough of the yard, view, and quiet. I love it out in "Paradise Valley."

(whew...how'd I end up doing? Man, my brain hurts...) ;)

On March 15th the world's most beautiful baby girl was welcomed into the world! Susannah Scout Rea, my best friend's perfect lil bundle was (half) of the whole reason I was even in Texas! She was such a joy to photograph, and just let me do whatever I wanted. She posed well (she's going to be a model, I can see it!), and just slept and slept! Not to mention, she LOOOOOOVES her Aunt Bay! Each time I would come visit her(at least once a week during the 2 month stay), she would just lay in my arms and look up at me. I was even one of the first people she smiled at(according to her Mommy)! :) I can't wait to see her perfect little self again in August! She's going to be so big! :'( Don't you worry, I'll take some pictures of her then as well!!!

The title fits my family to a T! :) However, I don't think there are just a few nuts. I'm pretty sure we are all nuts in some cases. My family is the most unique one you'll ever find. We all have our own lives but never skip a chance at getting together! Whether it be for a birthday party(and in our family you are NEVER too old to have a party), or a cousin's visit, or just because you need an excuse to cook your favorite meal...we are always getting together. And, my trip to Texas was no different. We were always hanging out celebrating something! I wouldn't have it any other way!

{Trayton 20 Days New}

On Sunday, I had the opportunity to photograph my first(of hopefully many) newborn! He was precious. Trayton...born on Feb 1, 2011. An aquarius just like me. I always feel a little more connected to people born in the "month of love!" :) And, he was no exception. As soon as I walked in his (parent's) door, he was in my arms. Lil love baby. He was all snuggly and warm.... I really had a hard time letting go to get some photographs. I could have sat there all day holding that little bundle of joy. His parents are so proud of their first born, and for a good reason! He's perfect...

Can you tell that I now have a wee bit of baby fever!? I think it's my turn.

But for now, I'll let Aaron, Emily and Trayton have the spot light. Congratulations y'all! :) He's an angel.

"A person you'd love to trade places with for a day..."

As I sat here thinking of all the people I could name: Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Aniston, anyone in Australia... I realize that I don't care for trading places with anyone.

I've never been big on "living vicariously" through others. Of course there are certain things I could go without in my life (drama) and certain things that I could have more of (money), but to be perfectly honest... I love my life. I have an amazing husband who would do anything for me. A wonderful family who is always there for me. And, to top it off, fantastic friends that I share everything with. I live in a picture perfect setting....with LOTS of beautiful snow and wildlife to peak out at EVERY day. My car (used to) get me from A to B without any trouble...before I wrecked it. My house keeps me warm at night, and away from then nightly critters... Although Woods(the cat) keeps bringing them inside. I really can't see me even trading places for a day. I would miss the things from my own life...even if for only a day....

Things in my life are definitely not perfect, but I make do with what I have.... which makes me truly happy. I better myself and my outlook on life from overcoming obstacles and reaching goals. I understand what to do in new situations by learning from the old ones.

I've followed my dreams, and persued photography(which, is proving to be a good choice so far...to me) :) The moments I get to hold onto from my photos are worth more than ANY day of trading! I get to make people laugh, capture their inner beauty along with the outer. I get to show them things about their own lives they didn't know existed.

Me? Trade?

No way.....

Today I went with my husband to his auto repair shop. I needed to start on our taxes, and we also only had one car at the house....I wasn't going to be stranded out there all day! :) As I was trying to pull myself together and get motivated filling in our Quickbooks(I'm behind since Feb. of 2010!), I decided to "detail" the shop. My husband was ecstatic. A clean shop?! Wow, it's been forever....

Well..... I didn't mean detail like clean it until it shines...

I meant "detail" as in, take pictures of the little details of his shop.

I did end up cleaning his office.... Just in case y'all were wondering :)

Brrr, it's cooold outside today. Last night a cold front blew (VERY HARD) into town, and now it's 10 degrees! My husband is crazy, and decided that today of all days he wants to smoke a brisket on the bbq. haha. He loves to grill, and as long as I don't have to be out there with him the entire time, then he can go right ahead! :) I am excited to have some for dinner, though!! Thanks Drew!

PS-My baby dogs are super cute, too! I had to get them in some photos, of course.

And, I guess I'm way behind on my 31 Day Photo Challenge. :/ I'll get it together, I promise.

My favorite memory -- My Bobee. My precious, heart felt, God fearing grandmother. Rosa Mae Bailey is, and always will be, the #1 influential person in my life. I strive to be like her everyday. Although she is now only a memory, she will be remembered for all her qualities, because they were ALL great qualities! She was the one people would turn to for solid advice. She was the one who could calm your fears just by her touch. (I really wish I could write like my heart is wanting to.) She had this way of guiding you towards being a better person, and she didn't even know it. She just lived her life the way God wanted her to live her life--Second to Him. Bobee was at church every Sunday morning, evening and Wednesday night(up until her health prevented her from going). She taught Sunday school class to the little ones, and loved, loved, loved her God. :') She wanted so desperately for her family to make her proud, and follow in her footsteps of righteousness. Even when we faulted, she wasn't there judging us. Instead, she turned our heads in the right direction, painted a path to follow. We haven't been as wholesome and wonderful as our Bobee was, but hopefully all of us in the family will turn our lives the direction SHE wanted us to go. And, she's still here in our hearts, whispering to us, "Go ahead and do that, but you know it's not right." She's the good side. You know, the cartoons that have an angel on one shoulder telling you to follow the Golden path, and the devil on the other trying to persuade you to do wrong? Bobee is definitely my little shoulder angel. I can feel her nudges from time to time. She is missed, dearly, and I don't think that pain will ever go away. Everyone in our family had a different relationship with her, but they were all just as important as the rest. I know my sister used to call Bobee just about every day. They'd chit-chat. Bobee would want to talk to Beck and Ford on the phone(my nephews)... I can hear her saying, "I sure do wish I could understand him(Ford). I know he's got so much to say." (Actually just typing that right now brought tears to my eyes.) :/ I want to go into more detail about the other family members and their relationship with our sweet grandmother, but I just can't do it anymore :(

But, I'm getting further from the point of "Day #5." It was supposed to talk about a MEMORY not a hole in my heart from someone whom I miss I everyday. :/

Bobee was fantastic. That's the bottom line. She was down right FANTASTIC. She always had a smile on her face, and never pushed anyone aside. But, she never let you get away with anything, either. :)

She was God's servant... That's the best attribute anyone can have. So willing to do what God wanted her to do. I really do hope to be even just a smidgeon as good as she was.

I like to think of it like this: Her first birthday is coming up. Her "Heaven Birthday." She will be one year old on February 2, 2011. What a day!! :)

Day 4. Tacos!!

Day 4 of 31

My night was pretty boring last night....Just the way we like it. Drew and I had gone snowmobiling all day yesterday and when we got home we were both beat. So, Drew(being the master chef and all) decided to make some tacos with his famous, "Drew's Salsa." Mmmmmm. I'm a sucker for a good taco! We devoured them pretty quickly. He's such a wonderful cook. I really am blessed to have a man that looks to do things like that for me. :) Well, honestly I think he likes to do it for himself, but I sure am glad he lets me be his taste-tester! But, on the downside of Drew cooking...he uses just about every dish and cooking utensil he can get his hands on. And, I HATEEEE doing the dishes. I mean hate! (and, no dishwasher) Blah. It's worth it though! (Or at least my fat tummy thinks so) :)

Day 3... TARA!

Ooo, Day 3 is a good one, but tough. Drew and I enjoy watching TV...a lot. Every time we're at home we have the television booming in the background, and all throughout the day I have it playing....even if I'm not even paying attention to it, it's on! :) We have had several TV shows that we have been hooked on over the years, but the one that really pops into mind when I think of "favorite" has got to be United States of Tara. It comes on ShowTime and it starts back for Season 3 in a couple of weeks!! It's about this 40s aged woman who has multiple personality disorder(they call it Dissociative Identity Disorder but I figured more people would understand if I just said multiple personalities) and BOYYYY howdy, her multiples are HILARIOUS!

There's Tara, who is...her. The main personality and the true character. She's calm, collected but funny and a little sarcastic. She has a (gorgeous) husband who is so sweet and understanding about his wife's disorder. She has 2 children. Marshall, the gay pre teen, who is trying to find his own way in his own messed up little world. And, also a daughter, Kate... 16 years old, wild, adventurous....and, trying to separate herself just enough to have her own life that's not surrounded and stuck with the chaos of her mother. Well, that's "Tara's" life.

There is also the alter-ego, Alice. Straight out of the 50s... poodle skirts, never a harsh word, and ALWAYs cooking something great up!

T...the 15 year old alter ego that likes to go out and well, be 15. Partying, sneaking away from the "husband", getting tattoos! :) She's always so entertaining. (But T wasn't really in Season 2...they had a new alter)

Shoshana is Tara's newest alter....Tara's very own therapist. She wasn't on too much but from the looks of the website, she is going to be quite prevelant in this season. She is a hippy chick...loves being in tune with mother earth and wants to unlock the truth in people. She's kind of hard to describe(I guess you'll just have to watch the show and see) :)

Then, there's Drew's favorite alter... Buck. A middle aged, beer drinking, big rig driving, Harley having, man's man! Haha. He looooves the ladies, but the ladies don't always love him back. I don't understand why they wouldn't love a woman wearing baggy jeans, a dirty cut-off pearl snap shirt(left open with a stained white wife beater underneath), a truck driver's hat, and huge aviator glasses.... and not to mention, the "woman" thinks she's a man and always has a cigarette hanging off her bottom lip!! hahaha

Okay, so this show is quite the entertainment and could gain just about anyone's attention! It's not about the normal drama of the reality shows and it's definitely not your afternoon soap opera, but I guarantee that if you go in watching with an open mind, you will come out LOVING it!

They aren't telling us exactly when the show airs, but stay tuned to Show Time in February! :)

My Awesome Sister!

Day 2's picture describes a very special person in my life! My sweet sister. She has been my friend since the beginning of time, or try every day since I've been alive. Although, I will admit that in the beginning(first 15 years of my life) we weren't BEST friends. I was more of the annoying little sister that Ashley just couldn't wait to get away from! :) Thankfully she has a kind heart(and I'm totally awesome) so she forgave me of my childish behavior back in the day. lol

My sister has always been the one I look up to. No matter what the situation I know I could call her and rely on her to be there for me. Not to mention, she's fun. We always have the best time together, and maybe even get into a little trouble. But, hey, that's what sisters and true friends are for! I love coming home(to Texas) and staying up way too late catching up on the little things, and laughing histerically all night. She really has the greatest sense of humor. I love her wittiness and joy for life! Such a gem. :) Ashley is an amazing mother to her two precious boys. They love their mommy so much and it's all because she's raising them right. :) Sweet babies.

All in all...I loooove my sister and wouldn't know what I would do without her friendship! We are best friends, and we'll never be anything less :)

Hello all,

I was just reading up on my fellow photographer friend's blog, Memories by Brooke, and saw that she was doing this very unique and fun photo challenge. I have seen the 365 photos in a year, one for each day. And, I've noticed the challenge of posting one photo for each week in the year. But, this one really caught my eye. I get to post pictures of things that mean the most to me, and then proceed to tell you WHY I chose what I did. :)

Day 1 is about me, and 10 Bailey Moir facts. Hmmm....

1. I'm a Canon user, and always will be. ;)
2. My husband is the apple of my eye. He is the hardest worker I've ever met, and has the sweetest heart. I wouldn't trade him for anything!
3. I want to be a mother so badly.
4. I enjoy listening to people.
5. My best friend is my sister. How lucky am I?
6. I miss my family and friends in Texas every second of every minute of every hour of every day!
7. I wish I liked cleaning more. It is very relaxing but takes a lot of self motivation to get started!
8. Sweat pants and pajama bottoms are the most comfortable things on Earth!
9. I hate flying.
10. My grandmother is the most influential person in my life. I hope to live my life in a way she would be proud of.

Now, I know this isn't as interesting as it could get, but I need a while to get my brain going. I've never been big on explaing myself or writing in general. I believe that this challenge will bring out my inner writer, and help me to be a better blogger. That's why I chose to do this in the first place. I need to get in touch with my creativity through my words. Stay tuned! Let's see if my writing ability gets any better :)

While I was in Texas for Christmas, I had the opportunity to do some engagement pictures for one my best friends and her sweet fiance! We had so much fun walking around down town Canton(our hometown)! :) I never knew such beauty could be found there. It certainly gave me a new love for it. We also ventured to a barn and found an old truck to photograph with! We had so much fun, and I cannot WAIT to shoot their wedding! It's definitely going to be one to remember. Kim has said it's going to be a "Bling-Redneck" wedding! I can only imagine! :)

Some people may think I'm absolutely nuts for having as much love as I do for my animals! They are truly the highlight of my day(second to when Drew gets home). Most of the time they work very well with me on posing and sitting and "stay" for our photo shoots. ;) My poor, embarrassed dogs and kitty. I know they hate the hats, scarves, shirts, glasses, etc. that I put on them 24/7, but they are just so darned cute!!! I love my babies and thankful that they don't run away everytime I break out my camera! :)

A month or so ago, I was driving around just taking pictures of everything. After I got home, I uploaded them to my computer and forgot to ever edit or do anything with them. Silly me. :) Here are a few I lost for a while.

I was so excited about it snowing. I just had to document our "first snow" of the winter season! :)

My handsome boy, Mack. He's so patient and has such a big heart. This day he was "helping" Drew cut some wood behind the house! I love him so much.

Halloween 2010

On Sunday afternoon, my amazing husband, Drew, and I set up a little photo background in a yard on Yellowstone Ave. For non-Livingston residents, Yellowstone Ave is the street that the city blocks off for 4 hours so the trick or treaters are safe from cars! (Great idea City!!) We decided to take photos of the little ghosts and goblins as they collected their candy. I thought I'd share a couple of my favorites! :) I just love Halloween!

This couple was amazing, so full of engery and you could tell they were meant for each other! We just happened to run into each other at The Murray here in Livingston. These guys were here for one weekend planning their WEDDING!! They had all these meetings and schedules, and thankfully squeezed me in so I could take a few snap-shots of the love birds! I cannot believe they got it all done in only 2 days but they did it! They are getting married in June in Paradise Valley, all done with the planning, and they don't even live in this state! Where were these guys when I was getting married!? ;) We had a great time playing on the beach at the fishing access -- even though the fish weren't biting... :/ I am so happy to have met you two! Congratulations!!!!!

It's almost Winter!

I love it when this time of year rolls around. The snow begins to fall and the air turns super crisp. :) Monday we enjoyed our first snowfall. It was magical, just like every other time I have seen it snow. It has since melted away, but I'm happily waiting until the next time it falls again! I can't wait until the ground is like a blanket of white! So beautiful....

Halloween is by far the most exciting night of the year! The one night you get to be someone completely different from your true self and not to mention, all the candy you can imagine. :) I will never be too old to dress up and go "trick or treating". Well, I was getting myself in the spirit of Halloween, and decorated the huge window in our living room with spiders and webbing. Turns out, they look a little real, because my kitty, Woods, was attacking the window all morning! haha. I had a great time watching him "kill" those spiders. I can't imagine they tasted very good. I love my animals. They are so fun. By the way, keep your eyes peeled for my doggies' costumes. They are going to be so cute!

I miss my grandmother. And, last night she showed up in my dreams. :') Bobee as we endearingly called her, not Grandma, Mawmaw, Mimi, Gran or Grandmother. She was definitely a person of her own, and reached out to everyone with her wisdom and kind words. Last night she showed up to my wedding. Which would have been the greatest gift ever, but it was still just as powerful in my dream. As I was getting ready the phone rang, it was her....from Heaven. I asked her if she could see me from way up there, and she couldn't. But she comforted me with, "Bailey I am IN you. I can't see you, but I can see what you see." That was a hug with only using words. Later she appeared in my room, helped me calm down, and brushed my hair. :') Oh, I wish Dreams were real. I shared that story because, well I miss her. And, she was a lovely, lovely lady and deserves to be remembered for her best qualities. She sent this video to me today. I just know it. I want y'all to see it...

This weekend the boys and I just hung around the house. Drew and I moved from our regular lounging area to the front yard underneath the pine tree. The dogs enjoyed us being out front where they could show off and then come catch some zzzz's in some shade. :) Lazy is good.

First thing first, I looooove my babies!

Yesterday was such great weather. The boys and I got out in the sun and played a little fetch, went swimming in the creek, and just enjoyed spending time together! We are a pretty loud group, especially when they are splashing around in the water and wrestling with eachother. That's why it was amazing for me to look up and see an owl sitting on a tree RIGHT above us. He was just hanging out, watching us. I guess he felt like part of the group from up there. He never flew away the whole time we played. It was, to say the least, pretty darn cool! :)

Today I had to take Drew to the shop, because we only had one car at our house. Well to do that I had to be up earlier than my normal waking hour. The sun is always high in the sky when I roll out of bed, so this morning's dew came as a complete shock. Come on, I'm 24. I know that morning dew happens every day, but hardly do I see it. :) (And that's because my dear, sweet husband spoils me.) So, I pulled on some boots, gathered up the dogs, and we went out on a little morning stroll...

This probably is the cutest grasshopper I have ever seen. He was just hanging out until the sun dried him off. :)

As I was waiting for my husband to close up his shop, I decided to take a stroll through town. The leaves are turning spectacular colors, so bright and vivid! Crazy enough, I didn't have my camera with me. I quickly persuaded myself to drive home(about a 20 minute ride one way), and come back to town just to take some snap shots of these lovely fall colors! :)

Dinner Time

I have the most amazing husband. He actually enjoys getting up early in the morning, making his famously delicious cup of coffee, and heading in to work at a time way too early for me to even think about functioning. And, he works hard. Every day. He's a mechanic and only relies on himself to get the job done. If I do say so myself, he's the best mechanic I know. :) As if that doesn't describe his super-human qualities, he comes home after a 9 hour work day and WANTS to cook dinner. Last night, he prepared this amazing dish that made my taste buds explode with delight. Barbeque chicken, steamed broccoli with cheddar cheese melted on top, garlic bread, and artichokes. How can anyone beat that? Add a glass of Newman's white wine and you have a meal that's to die for! Thank you, Drew for making me gain 20 lbs in one night! ;)

Time Sweet Time

This weekend my husband and I enjoyed a lot of time together, all alone. I love it when we just hang out with eachother and do things spontaneously. Yesterday, Drew loaded up the four wheeler and dirtbike on the trailer, and we headed up Mill Creek to do a little riding. We had so much fun that we ended up exploring the trails for 5 hours! And, we saw a little bit of everything: beautiful fall colors, abandoned cabins, a mystery lake, and even trekked our way up to the very tippy-top of the mountain. Oh, how I love days like that.
Then, today we decided to take our precious "children" to the river. And, when I say children I'm referring to our three human-like dogs. Drew got the kids in the car, while I packed us a lunch and off we went. The boys loved getting in the water, and Drew and I enjoyed goofing around and being silly together. There is no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than laughing and playing with my husband. He makes me feel like a kid again. :)

All in all, this was a weekend to remember.....
